We Interrupt This ACOWAR for GOOSEBUMPS

Over the weekend, I checked off an apple picking trip, corn maze, and going through a goofy little haunted house nevertheless full of sobbing children on my list of mandatory fall activities. You wanna guess what’s next?

THAT’S RIGHT. DEAR READER, IT’S GOOSEBUMPS-O-CLOCK.

Since we’ve changed our update schedule for the first time in… ever, we’re just going to pause our A Court of Wings and Ruin coverage for the last two weeks of October. No one will be too bummed out by taking a little break from that, right? Like, probably Rhysand makes some plans, Feyre nods, Rhysand shoves his hands in his pockets. Odds are that’s what we would have covered otherwise.

Speaking of which, this Monday’s scheduled ACOWAR post will go up tomorrow. Today, we ask you to complete the sacred October ritual and vote for our next Goosebumps book. Just like last year, the poll is multiple choice, and you may vote for up to three books based on wild speculation on their batshit insane-sounding titles. READER BEWARE…

…YOU’RE IN FOR A SCARE

    Yaaaaaaassss!!!!!!!!

I am actually weirdly familiar with Goosebumps (I remember the plot of almost all of those in the poll) so I voted for the most ridiculous ones and am super excited to see which one we get!

Oh god so many characters in ACOWAR are already “MAI WAIFE” jokes, how long until Rhysand does a “NOT” joke and fully transforms into Borat

She really can’t stand these books. Every time I call her she’s like, “IS IT OVER YET???”

It seems unlikely to win the poll and it’s probably not one of the better candidates but it would be interesting if you did end up doing Monster Blood just because that’s the one Goosebumps book I’ve read other than the choose-your-own-adventure ones. When I read it in middle school I was like, wow, this is so well-crafted and full of twists! But actually it is only one of those things and I’m pretty sure none of the twists are worth it. There’s an evil cat though so at least it has that going for it.
